Black Pine Cabin stands on the border of Szentendre and Leányfalu, surrounded by old-growth trees in a truly close-to-nature setting. When we first imagined it, we had one simple wish: to create a place that feels good to set out from — and even better to return to at the end of the day. The cabin is named after the two towering black pines that watch over the garden, shaping the atmosphere of the whole place and filling the air with their resinous scent. The house’s raw black pine cladding is intentionally simple and timeless, so it never steals attention from what matters most: the nature all around you.By day, the area almost plans itself: walks along the Danube, wandering Szentendre’s streets, hikes in the Pilis forests, or a trip up to Visegrád. Whether you set off on foot or on two wheels, it’s easy to head out from here — and discover something different every day. And in the evening, the terrace, the view, and the cabin’s slower rhythm will be waiting for you.Wooded, open land stretches out in front of the cabin and along its sides, creating a naturally private setting. There is only one neighbouring property at the back — and even then, their presence is rarely noticeable.For us, exploration is not just about the area. We've also hidden little thoughts and inspirations in the cabin interiors and the garden - things that help you slow down, quieten down and look inwards a little. Because sometimes the most interesting paths don't lead outwards. The Black Pine Cabin is easily accessible from Budapest, yet far enough away that you can get away from it all and explore all that surrounds you at your own pace. Outside and inside.
When we imagined Black Pine Cabin, we didn’t want to create a retreat to hide away in — but a place to set out from.A place to start exploring - the environment, nature, our innermost drives, or even just to live time a little differently.It was important to us that the cabin feel both modern and close to nature — comfortable, yet simple. A place with enough calm to truly arrive, and enough inspiration to set out again the next day. Our favourites — the black pines — inspired the name as well. And that’s how Black Pine Cabin became a base for those who love being on the move, but also love the feeling of having somewhere to return to.
