If anything is missing, it is probably only because we have not thought of it yet – so please feel free to let us know, and we will do our best to add it as soon as possible. We continuously update this page based on our guests’ experiences and questions, so you will always find up-to-date help here.
Thank you for staying with us, and make yourself at home at Black Pine Cabin!

We particularly recommend Food Revolution: they cook with high-quality, fresh ingredients, deliver reliably, and their care and creativity are clear in everything they do. The company is also run by the team of a close friend of ours, who put a great deal of heart and enthusiasm into it. foodrevo.hu
After you’ve read the rent page, here you can find the useful informations.
- The bikes are stored in the lower storage area. Push the swing door inward; magnets hold it against the wall.
-
An e-bike does not pedal instead of you – it assists you. It works best when you keep pedalling continuously.
-
You can adjust the level of assistance with the + / – buttons on the left-hand side. The modes are: Eco (energy-saving), Trail (for everyday use), and Boost (strong assistance for steeper sections).
-
There is no need to use the strongest mode continuously: Trail is ideal in most situations, while Boost drains the battery more quickly.
-
Always shift into a gear in which your legs can spin comfortably. Avoid pedalling in too high a gear while relying mainly on the motor, as this drains the battery faster, puts more strain on the drivetrain, and in extreme cases can even cause a broken chain.
-
Before a climb, it is best to shift down in time, rather than waiting until you have lost your momentum.
-
The lights are switched on by default; please feel free to leave them on, as they improve your visibility on the road while using very little power.
-
When stopped, the bike switches off automatically after 10 minutes.
-
After use, please put the bikes on charge for the night.
-
When locking the bikes, always secure the frame with the lock. It is also advisable to chain the two bikes together through the frame triangle above the rear wheel.
-
The tool pouch and lock are on the kickstand side of the men’s bike. It contains a puncture repair spray, which can inflate the tyre and add sealant, as well as a mini pump and a mini tool kit for basic adjustments.
-
Before setting off, please check the brakes, tyres, lights and battery charge.

The thermostat next to the entrance controls the underfloor heating. Set the desired temperature using the + and – buttons. Please use it as the main heating source. Output: 3600W
If you would like to warm the cabin up more quickly, the heating function of the air conditioner is more efficient (5300W) while using less electricity (900W). When in use, the fireplace provides heat equivalent to approximately 7000W.
Please switch it off when you leave the accommodation at the end of your stay.
If you experience any issues, please contact us. We can adjust it remotely via Wi-Fi.
You will find a portable speaker at the bottom of the information wall. You can connect to it via Bluetooth. Press the central volume button; it will make a beeping sound, after which you can pair it with your phone. (ENEBY20) It can operate on battery power for up to a day. If it needs charging, connect it to the white cable on the chest of drawers. We recommend charging it overnight and using it during the day. For the best sound, please leave the bass-reflex opening on the back unobstructed, which is why we usually pull it forward slightly on the shelf. As everyone in the area values peace and quiet, loud music outdoors may disturb the neighbours; however, normal listening volume will not cause any problems.
- Firelighters and matches – in the brass iron
Please use dry wood only. - Check that the air vents are clear. Prepare the fire using the “top-down fire” method: place the larger logs at the bottom, medium-sized logs above them, and kindling on top (thin branches, small pieces of wood and a firelighter).
This allows the fire to burn from the top down, producing less smoke and soot. Lighting from the top warms the chimney and starts the required draft. - Light the kindling on top.
Leave the air intake open until you have a stable flame. Once the fire is burning well, you can gradually reduce the airflow for efficient combustion. - Ventilation
For the first 10–15 minutes, it is advisable to open a window slightly to ensure a sufficient oxygen supply.
Never burn with the air intake closed – this can cause soot build-up and dangerous combustion gases. - Do not use prohibited materials!
Do not burn painted, glued or varnished wood, paper, plastic or waste.
These release toxic gases and tar. - Maintaining the fire
Only add more wood when the embers are glowing well.

The electric boiler is located beneath the kitchen sink and has a capacity of 50 litres. We set the temperature to the maximum, 80°C, so that its relatively small capacity provides enough hot water for 2–3 people to shower one after another. Naturally, you may adjust it to your preference using the buttons.
The white AUX air-conditioning remote control is located next to the entrance door. It can be used for both cooling and heating.
It has a total output of 5300W. Its efficiency is demonstrated by the fact that it achieves this while drawing approximately 1000W of electricity.
If you have any issues, please contact us. We can adjust it remotely via Wi-Fi.
You will find a cordless vacuum cleaner under the sink, which you can use for a quick clean-up whenever needed.
It offers two suction speeds; press the power button twice to select the stronger setting. It can run for around 20 minutes, which is usually enough to vacuum the entire cabin. The handheld crumb-vacuum section can be removed from the middle, though it operates at normal suction power only.
After use, please plug the cable back in to recharge it. To fold it away, turn the knobs on both sides.
You can order breakfast made from local producers’ products through our Reggeli Box partner, who delivers from Dunabogdány every morning. The fan provides extra comfort during very warm or very cold periods: in summer, it helps draw the cool air created by the air conditioner upwards; in winter, it helps bring the warm air produced by the fireplace stove downwards.
Accordingly, the fan can operate in two directions, which can be selected using the reverse button in the centre. Six speed settings are available in each direction. In our experience, settings 1 and 2 already do the job perfectly and operate almost silently.
The fan also has an integrated light, with three colour temperatures and adjustable brightness.
The bathroom light is controlled by the pull switch directly beneath the light.
The kitchen worktop lighting is controlled by the black switch on the green tiles.
The brightness of the living room floor lamps can also be adjusted and switched on or off using the small buttons on the lamps.
The outdoor lighting automatically turns on at dusk and off at sunrise every evening. If it is not needed, it can be switched off for the night using the switch above the remote controls next to the entrance.

The cabin is located in a recreational area where septic systems are used to treat wastewater.
We use an organic, two-chamber septic system, which nourishes the plants below from the second chamber. We continuously add ORGANIC BIO liquid so that it can operate in complete harmony with the environment.
IMPORTANT – for this reason, please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet, as it can cause blockages and environmental damage because it does not break down.
Hot tub – immerse yourself in calm. Unwind, leave everyday life behind and enjoy the restorative experience of the warm hot tub!
Important information – operation
The hot tub is electrically heated and keeps the water at a constant, pleasant temperature of 38–39°C, which we set in advance. Please do not touch the control panel located in the small window on the side of the hot tub.
- Heating and circulation: use the push button on top of the hot tub. This can be used to switch them off when you are no longer using the hot tub. HEATING TIME: the water temperature rises by 2.5–3°C per hour, so it is worth starting it in good time. If you let us know, we may also be able to start it remotely so it is warm for your preferred time. There is a thermometer on the chest of drawers inside, which receives the signal from the hot-tub thermometer so that you can follow the current water temperature. After use, please switch off the heating and circulation using the push button. The next day, the tub will heat up more quickly for another session because it retains heat well.
- Lighting: use the light button visible on top of the hot tub to cycle through the underwater light colours or switch them off.
- Bubbles: use the rotary control to adjust the intensity.
- IMPORTANT: After use, please replace the thermal cover on the hot tub to prevent debris from getting into the water. We usually lean the cover against the sauna-side wall of the hot tub.
- If, for any reason, the indoor thermometer does not receive the radio signal from the outdoor thermometer, press the “minus” button to cycle through the settings, then press and hold it to refresh the outdoor thermometer signal.
Guidelines for use
- Using the hot tub is a wonderful experience – provided that you follow a few simple rules.
The hot tub is used at your own risk. - Do not add anything to the water – please do not use shower gel, bubble bath, essential oils, bath salts or any other chemicals.
(If the water becomes contaminated due to a guest’s actions, the water and filter must be replaced at a cost of HUF 20,000.) - Please always shower before use.
- Eating, smoking and jumping are not permitted in the hot tub.
- Please use plastic cups only while bathing.
- Do not use the hot tub under the influence of alcohol or any mind-altering substance.
If you notice any issue or damage in the hot tub, please inform the host immediately. The cost of repairing damage caused by guests must be reimbursed.
Finnish sauna – recharge your body and soul
We are happy you are here, and we hope you can truly switch off during your stay. If you are looking to recharge, try the Finnish (dry) sauna – one of the best ways to slow down, detox and restore your energy.
Why we love the Finnish sauna
During a sauna session, your body releases toxins through perspiration, your circulation improves, and your heart beats a little faster – helping your body receive more oxygen and function more efficiently. The heat also speeds up your metabolism, so the sauna not only relaxes you but supports your body’s natural detoxification processes. Best of all, you are likely to feel lighter, fresher and more balanced afterwards.
How to get the most from it
- Take a shower before using the sauna.
- Sauna towels can be found on the lower bathroom shelf. Place one on the bench before sitting down, so the cabin stays clean and fresh.
- If you wish, pour a little water over the hot stones to create pleasantly humid air.
- You may add essential oil to the first ladle of water – the rising steam creates a lovely scent and may also help clear your airways. We recommend bringing your favourite essential oil with you.
- A complete sauna session generally takes 1–1.5 hours, including 2–3 short sauna rounds and 10–15-minute rests.
Important notes
- Do not pour a large amount of water over the stones at once – the sudden burst of steam can cause burns.
- Essential oils are flammable, so never pour them undiluted onto the heater!
- Do not cover the stones or place anything on them, as this can easily create a fire hazard.
- Do not touch the hot parts of the operating sauna heater or lean against the protective guard.
- The sauna is used at your own risk.
- Alcohol is not permitted while using the sauna.
- Use of sauna textiles is mandatory.
- Please enter the sauna barefoot only. Leave shoes and slippers outside the door.
How to operate the sauna
- The control unit is located on the outside wall of the sauna. It takes approximately 45–50 minutes to heat from 10°C to 80°C, so please switch it on accordingly in advance.
- The external display continuously shows the current interior temperature. Everyone can set their preferred temperature (for example, 70°C or even 90°C).
- The interior light is also controlled from the external display, but there is a ceiling switch inside if you would like to turn it off and enjoy the evening panorama from the sauna.
Important: After using the sauna, switch the unit off using the button on the external display – for environmental and energy-saving reasons.
